From friends
to founders.

Nate and Dan have been friends since they were kids in New Hampshire. Decades later, in Philadelphia, that friendship became a company. Be More Human exists because two people who grew up knowing what real community looks like decided to build something around it.

Co-Founder

Nate

Nate was born in Philadelphia but spent his youth in a small town in New Hampshire. He came back to Philly for college and never left. He bleeds green.

He has spent the past 15 years at Vanguard learning what it takes to build great teams and products people actually care about. That experience, combined with a small town upbringing that never let him forget what real community looks like, is the foundation Be More Human is built on.

The idea for Be More Human came from a giving program he ran in Philadelphia. The program featured a hoodie that was designed for Philly and went on to raise $350k for local nonprofits. A simple idea that proved apparel can do good and what you wear can be a statement, a conversation, or a call to action all at once.

Dan

Dan grew up in northern New Hampshire, in a town small enough that his graduating class barely cracked 40. Everyone knew everyone. He met Nate in 5th grade and never lost touch.
He studied exercise science and went on to run and sell his own fitness studio.

After his first child was born he rediscovered photography, then moved into videography and later UX design. That mix of people first work and creative craft, shaped by a small town that taught him what real community looks like, is what he brings to Be More Human.

He has spent his whole life in rooms full of people, in gyms, behind cameras, in small towns, and has always been drawn to the connection itself. Be More Human is his way of reminding people that what they wear can be a way to show up for each other.
